If a web search for the answer to your cast iron cookware question has brought you directly to this forum, the information you seek may be covered in one of the many reference topics featured on the main website.
These three pieces belonged to my great grandmother. They weren't in horrible shape, but had definitely been neglected.
I finally got motivated to start working on them.
I agree the hearts and stars is pretty. Will you post a picture of the hearts and stars flipped over please so we can see what marks the bottom has on it?
I don't have all of the old seasoning scrubbed from the bottom yet. I was concentrating on the rust and the interior last night, so please don't judge too harshly.
There are no markings on the back, front, or anywhere on the handle. Not even a number or letter. All I see are the gouge marks on the star.
Well that's just great/ now I have to find a similar style one to get. I just started out wanting to replace my old cheap aluminum skillet that the handle finally fell off and thought I'd try a old CI one. Mind you I told others I'm not a collector just a user. Well now I have five pieces iron and looking for at least six more. I'm starting to see a pattern of what I've been picking up for the kitchen lately.
I really like that star and hearts skillet when I looked at it a thought of three things that would be fun to try in it. Maybe even one giant tollhouse party cookie? I also like some of the bunt pans some of you have posted,
I think I'm going to say to myself I'm not a collector till maybe Ive got more than 15

Steven, start keeping a log now so it wont be so hard to remember what you have in a few months. We started out this year to just replace the cheap cookware we had. We probably have enough cast iron for everyone on our street now.

100% agree on starting a log early. I started getting into iron roughly 2 years ago, and I already don't know what I have. All I know for sure is when I open my cabinet full of the "to be cleaned" pile, I just shake my head
