Hello :)
I own this marvellous triple vintage gas iron stove.
First years of 1900.
Made of cast iron, optimum conditions.
Dimensions: 35x30x24 cm

Have a look!

I think it's very rare and I'd like to sell it.
I already have a value in mind, but I'd like to know your opinions before selling it.

Many thanks!

Livio, I keep thinking about this. Please understand I am a cast iron dummy and have zero experience selling cast iron. All I have is my gut feel.

If I was selling this on US eBay I would list the starting bid at $500 USD and probably put a reserve in at $1,000.00. If it didn't sell, I'd wait a year and try again.

I'm sure an auction house appraiser could do better, but that is like hiring a lawyer. They end up the winners, not you. Good luck.

Very unique piece! I have no idea what something like that may be worth to a collector, but there is a Facebook group that might be able to help with that.

Just Google "sad iron collectors" and it will be one of the first few search results.

That is a nice piece. I keep threatening the GF to replace all her new stuff with antique, sad irons and heaters to start.

Could you imagine having to iron clothes with this setup? Ouch.

Many thanks for your answer.

I'll try to read the stove specs today. ;)

@KevinE
Is the club you are saying the "Pressing Iron & Trivet Collectors of America"? I found that one.

@W. Hilditch
Maybe I'll try the auction in the future, for now I'd prefer selling it to a private, thank you!

Anyway, for you all, spread the word among your "iron friends", maybe there's someone already interested here.

Good morning (at least here... now I go taking a moke coffee :P )

Ah, I also have wonderful vintage coffee percolators, tin boxes and radio, maybe you also know where to redirect me for these three categories!

Update: it should be from the 1930s, I think it's italian because it comes with other vintage italian '30s items (not sure anyway), and there's no brand, only a number (37), maybe the artisan production number.
I can't find anything like this triple iron stove, anywhere, so I think it's a very rare item; in other collection fields I learned that, if you can't find other similar exemplars, usually it's an "unique" article for collectors, I don't know if you understand what I mean.

:) Bye

Livio
