Two Questions in One ;)

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I have two item inquiries for the experts today.

I recently acquired a crusty muffin pan that I decided to clean yesterday, along with a crusty skillet that I've used for eons.

The muffin pan came out pretty nice and I was able to read its markings as a result. It was made by "Shepard Hardware", and although I could not find that name listed on your Gem page, am hoping someone can tell me something about it. I read that the company primarily made banks in the late 1800s. Would this brand be of interest to collectors and any ideas on value?

My skillet also revealed marks unbeknownst to me all this time. It bears the number 7 and also has a "bleb" above that. Planned bleb or manufacture error? Also, I noticed that the heat ring has 3 notches. So, any info on this guy appreciated!

The skillet is the classic "Three Notch Lodge" made by Lodge in Tennessee. Yours was made prior to the 1960's when "Made in the USA" was added. I'm sure others can give you a more accurate date range. Your number 7 size is much less common than the number 8. These are great to use but have much less collector value than others because no name is on the
bottom.

Thanks for the great info.
Most of my cookware is Wagner & Griswold---so nice to know I own a Lodge, too.
It is one of my favorites. I use it just about daily, and it makes awesome German Oven Pancakes ;))
