Can anyone tell me what happen to this pan it was like this when I got it and it’s very sharp, you can cut yourself with it, would Lodge send something out like this and it is a Lodge #8. Sorry about the glare.
 
Obviously, Lodge wouldn't let such a pan leave the factory. "Flashing" is what can happen when mold halves don't fit tightly together, and molten iron seeps out into the gap. Sometimes it can happen even with competently cast pieces, but is normally ground off before shipping. This is somebody's copy using a Lodge pan. I'd again remind those asking for assistance with ID to include photos showing the entire bottom and top of a piece.
