Unique Find?

First post here. I am a big fan of using cast iron cookware. I recently came across this piece and restored and seasoned it. It is a double wide, double handle pan that takes up an entire double burner camp stove. It is very thick, and weighs in @ just over 19 lbs. I plan on using it primarily for camping but it will probably get some every day use as well.

First picture is what it looked like when I found it.

Second picture is after I slowly brought it up to temperature in an oven and then ran a self clean cycle.

Last picture is after a scrubbed it with steel wool, wire brushed it, and applied 3 coats of seasoning.

Wondering if any of you have seen a pan like this and or know something about it? I bought it for $30 from an old guy that had it for 30+ years and he had originally bought it from a fishing lodge owner that had it 20+ years as well (or so he says).

Giving this a bump to see if anyone has some info on this pan. I have been using it all summer and it has been working great on the camp stove. It fits perfectly on a standard Coleman double burner.

I am thinking of polishing the surface to give it a smoother finish. Any suggestions on methods?

The texture of the CI reminds me of Lodge in Tennessee, followed by a list of 29 buts. The slope and the corners are similar to my Wagner breakfast skillet, but, but, but.......

The quality of the CI leaves out Wagner, Griswold and BSR to me. I would not try to polish it. I'd let the seasoning build up to smooth it out. It is too nice and unique to screw with it. PS: Don't drop it. I hope it didn't flatten your Coleman.

Thanks for the info! I was considering polishing purely for aesthetics. The seasoning has built up well on it and the cooking surface was/is actually much smoother than the pictures would indicate.
