unmarked 10" DO

Going thru some of my Mom's stuff, I came across a 10" DO and lid. There are no number or letter markings. The lid has lines running across it though. The inside of the lid has little dimples/indentations on it. The DO itself, has 4 sets of lines on the outside, that match the lid.

I looked thru all the ID info here, but did not see anything like on this DO and lid.

Any ideas?

Got a mediocre picture this evening; will get a better one tomorrow when the camera is charged.

That's a beautiful DO! I've never seen one with lines like that. The dimples under the lid makes it sound like a BSR. The experts around here should be able to let you know for sure.

Robert...Was hoping for a more definite type of picture just to see what the inside of the lid looked like. I've exhausted my efforts to find a piece similar to what yours looks like and I usually don't give up so easily. I have seen this type pattern somewhere...either in a shop or possibly on eBay, etc. I know Bonnie thinks it's Renfrow Ware but the patterns I found were rings in a circular pattern.
I'm thinking Asian but there again couldn't find anything that matches or similar as yours.
If I do come across this style I will for sure let you know....Good luck.

A handsome pot, Robert. And thank you Bonnie for the reference to a DO of this style in the forum. I thought I'd seen it, but your reference proves my mind is not completely gone, yet. Somehow I don't think these pots look Asian--just my take on it. Let us see it cleaned up, if you can Robert.

Nothing about the lid says BSR except the dimples. But BSR wasn't the only one with them. I have seen what appear to be early Wagner "turtle top" DO lids with them as well.

Michael, I was basing my opinion on this post where we talked about this type of DO before. I know I have seen another one cleaned up and it was really pretty. I do agree it's still a mystery.

See there...Told you I had seen one somewhere before. Never forget a face or picture but can't remember names to save me.
It was most likely I saw the post in reference and just filed it in my memory bank (pictures) and just forgot where it was. Must be more of these pieces out there somewhere? I didn't see the one on eBay and I spent a better part of an hour looking this morning. Thanks again.

IIRC I read somewhere that these are mostly found on the west coast and that is why people think they might be Renfrow. I see the one on ebay was in California also.

I finally had a chance to get a couple more pictures.

I'm in N. Calif. My Mom had this, but I do not know where she got it. This was not one she used. She had a Wagner that she used, that was my Grandmothers originally. I found this one in the barn, along with a nice Griswold 702C small skillet.

I want to clean this one up and use it.
