Unmarked #8 round griddle

Hopefully someone might have some thoughts on this griddle. Picked it up over the Christmas break and I really haven't been able to positively identify the maker. Perhaps it might fall into the unknown group.

So far, some characteristics seem to align mostly with a Sidney Hollowware griddle. The handle shape, handle design and handle font are very similar. This griddle is very low profile like some of the pictures of marked Sidney Hollowware griddles viewed online. However, the handle style appears to have been used by several foundries of the early 1900's. I have noticed Erie, Wapak and some Favorite griddle handles to look the same as well.

As you can see there aren't any markings on the back of the griddle other than the number 8, both on the underside of the handle and the back. I have pictured what could be a ghost mark also. Looks like a lower case 't' or maybe part of another letter. As much as I have tried, I can't match the ghost mark with any of the marked pieces I have seen online. A recast of another griddle is a strong possibility as well. It is a nice griddle. Many of the recasts I viewed are somewhat crude in design but this particular one is very refined.

Any thoughts and ideas are welcome. Thanks a bunch.

Thanks for looking Sean. It appears several manufacturers used this style/shape handle early on. Including the stove manufacturers that whipped up a few pieces to give away with their stoves. I have suspected for a while this particular griddle would end up unknown. It is just such a niece one. I have (think I have) a raised #7 Lodge griddle that is roughly twice as tall as this one. This one is a treat to use.
Thanks again for checking, I appreciate it.
