I found this gem at an antique mall over the weekend. Aside from being a tad rusted (no pitting whatsoever though), the pan is in perfect condition. The casting is super smooth and the pan is beautifully designed. I was wondering what the manufacture years were on this pan and what it may be worth. I will post pictures as soon as I get it cleaned and reseasoned.

Unmarked Wagner 1312 Aebleskiver Pan

It is believed that Wagner started marking items with catalog numbers ~ 1924. The marked versions of the 1312 aebelskiver/Danish cake pans are interesting in that the stylized logo on them looks like a prototype, the large curved W for both words being like that which we are accustomed to seeing, but the other letters being just block typeface. The BB dates them 1924-1940s.

It looks like the mold it came out of is identical to the one my pan came out of, sans the Wagner logo. As I was cleaning it, I also notice that it is side-gated. I can't wait to finish cleaning it and get it seasoned, but I have to study for my chemistry final exams first.

Here is the album containing before and after shots of the aebleskiver pan I bought recently. It needs a bit more seasoning for the sake of appearance, but it already makes great aebleskivers! No sticking whatsoever! I couldn't have done it without all the great advice on this site. Thank you!!!

Sarina, looking at your pan, it appears that I might have an unmarked Wagner also. The only difference is that it does not a catalog number. I was wondering if it is a unmarked Wagner or a knock off (remade) pan. Does anyone have any ideas?
