Unusual Wagner Griddle

I have seen a number of Wagner Griddles that have "Wagner Ware" stamped on the bottom with grids on the bottom, I have a griddle that I can find anywhere and believe it to be an older version.

This just has on the grilling surface "Wagner Sidney O." at the top and a "9A" right in the middle of the grilling surface. Again both are on the grilling side. The bottom is smooth with no markings and no stiffeners.

Size is 23 1/2" x 10"

The side with the markings is the bottom. The griddle is made to sit on that rim, like a heat ring. The stiffening ribs were added later on.

Yeah I guess I can see that. The heat ring on bottom then is deeper than the cooking surface rim. See photo of top surface.

This must be an early casting. Anyway to tell age?

RB says that one is ~ 1915.
