US prison made hollow ware?

Reading a 1903 article regarding the use of cheap prison labor for making iron goods, and it mentions The Knights of Labor union forcing them to put a special mark on prison made goods? Also speaks of much of it coming into Canada.

Anyone know what mark that is?
