Vacation Finds

Been on vacation for a bit, and one day it was rainy and gross, so we skipped the beach and went antiquing. I came home with these pieces.

The middle DO without a lid was tagged as an unmarked Wagner, but I don't know if that's true or not. It's in good condition and was priced well, so that was good enough for me. And the rust bucket looks like it's in pretty bad shape on the exterior, but the cooking surface doesn't look to have deep rust...I'm hoping it will clean up fairly well. I think it might also be Wagner based on the under side of the lid. And the rusty one and the middle one look pretty similar, so I'm thinking Wagner for both unless someone tells me otherwise.

And then a couple more pics of the Gris DO on the left. This was my favorite because it has a hook to hold the lid open on the back of the DO itself. I paid a little more than I wanted to for it, but I liked it...and sometimes liking it wins over price :shootself:

I would take a good day hunting cast iron over a day at the beach anytime, but my wife would tell you I'm crazy. Nice score DougH, I just picked up a couple of unmarked DO's that look like yours and was thinking Wagner also.

Looks like the griddle use some kind lid "cover" it has big edges to rest the cover, and handles are align with the edges, you can roast a little pig. When is done remove it from oven and sit it on the table, and the they had a good Christmas diner.:glutton:

That's a sad iron heater, and from what I know, would not have been used originally for cooking at all. I picked it up because I didn't have one yet, and it was cheap. I will try it as a griddle and see, though it's pretty skinny, so I'm not sure how well it will work...we'll see.
