Mid-1920s catalogs call it a shallow pan, meant for both cooking and serving use. A deeper version was called a pudding pan. Both came in five sizes.

well that’s interesting here I’ve been calling it a pie pan. knowing it’s called a shallow pan now I may be able to find something similar online. how rare do you suppose this shallow pan is I’ve never seen one
