Very Rare Piece

Washington Bicentennial Griswold Lid. So my question is - if you bought it would you use it or hang it on the wall?

Personally I'd probably use it. I tend not to buy things to just sit

With all my collecting I had to decide with cast iron, If I will not use it I sell it. I would not use it.

I am having a hard time sticking to my rule. Another old cut nail just went up today for a new piece of eye candy.:shootself:

what makes you think it is genuine?

I buy mainly what I will use. That being said, I keep up-grading and have about 60 pieces I would like to sell.

And this is why a buy/sell classified section would be awesome, but I totally get the headaches that probably come along with that.

For now, I am only buying to use; however, if I came across some meaningful items (e.g., something from places I've lived embossed as such), I could be persuaded to put a couple nails in the wall. :chuckle:

I have a lot I have not used yet. Maybe never will. I just have 2 i use all the time. A sydney o dutch oven and a no 9 Griswold with a badly pitted bottom. The pitting is right on the logo. Looks like someone shot it with a shotgun.
