Vollrath found in my kitchen

Thought I'd post this for a little something fun and different today, This one enlisted in the Navy. I'm still kind of new here and had seen the name Vollrath come up from time to time and it sounded familiar. Well here a while back it dawned on me my Old ladle had a name that started with a V.

Well I dug it out and had a look and low and behold it said Vollrath Co. It's approximately 14 1/2" and holds a cup. A quick search on the net and it said they supplied cookware for the military. How old it is or is it worth anything, I don't know. Picked it up at a yard sale years ago, and its been a great user.

Hope some of you find it as interesting as I did.

Steve,

Thats awesome. Makes me want to start hunting that stuff

Since I've taken a interest in cast iron and was referred to this site I've seen all kinds of neat stuff that I now look for. And from this site I learned about Descoware and soon after found a 2qt pot at goodwill for $2 and on the hunt for the bigger 15" long roaster For lasagna and red sauce pastas.

The ladle was a fluke and my favorite part it was cheap:) I liked it so it came home with me. I'm glad someone of you found it interesting.
