W B & Co

I picked this up today. I see in the foundry database that there is not a picture in the WB co spot. Is this the same company out of Maine?

Wood Bishop and Co. Its a good find. A local dealer I know has your exact Gem pan with an asking price of $300. Note that you cant appraise items by someones asking price but only by what it actually sells for. Definitely not an every day find.

I saw a dealer selling it online for $300 and I also saw that 2 sold on ebay in the past couple of months for less than $20. It is a nice size for rolls so I might use this one. Thanks for the info.
Jim, because of your info about the names I was able to find out a lot more about the company. Thanks, again.

Ebay is a really crazy market now constantly up and down. I do some periodic searches on Ebay and have seen items such as a W J LOTH skillet I have jump from $40 to $300 plus in the past year. The down side is Ive searched some of my items and could have turned a good profit and awhile later search to find that now the item wouldn't even get bids at low prices.

These French Roll pans must have been a hot item in their day. In my area at least, we see them everywhere, although usually unmarked. Living 35 mies from Bangor, Maine, I find that the WB & Co pans aren't uncommon and sellers generally don't know what they've got because the company name isn't spelled out. $5 to $10 item and $20 to $30 if the seller knows the pan is a Wood & Bishop.

I've never seen one that has the name spelled out versus their skillets which always do.

Doug, would it be possible to add the French Roll pan to the W&B listing in the foundry database? And, is it possible to have more than one picture in the listings? I'd like to submit a pix of one of my skillets under the Wood & Bishop listing, adding to or perhaps replacing the tea kettle pix?

Bonnie, I have a no-name French roll pan I cleaned up last summer, and I love it! Makes nice small rolls, and I was lucky enough to get a light weight old one. Yours is very pretty, and a not common manufacturer, around here anyway. Good score! (By the way, I think those pans reproduce on their own. I somehow wound up with 3 of them. Argh!)
