Waffle Iron Questions

I purchased a waffle iron today. I would think that it’s an older one from looking at the handle on the base. Does anyone have any information they could share as to the manufacturer and the appropriate date it was produced and an idea of its value. Also if the base and iron are an original match. I have no knowledge of waffle irons except if Griswold is on it it’s valuable!

It looks like the base was made for it. The iron rotates around the nubs. This type of iron was used in wood burning stoves with the eye missing. I don't know dates or manufacturer and would hate to guess. I hope this helps some.

Many pieces like this were apparently produced as stove accessories by stove and range manufacturers. So it's kind of like trying to figure out who made a vacuum cleaner nozzle. It could have been any number of firms.

Thanks Doug, (And folks) for your response. The reason I questioned if the base was original was that when rotated it has a spot that it catches on that prohibits it from laying flat on the opposite side unless I put extra pressure to force it past the rough spot or slightly lift it out of the cradle. I believe a few strokes with a file where the shiny metal shows where it is scrubbing would fix the problem. It looks to me like whoever ground one of the paddles down where it rotates in the cradle got a little carried away. You can see that area is slightly smaller in diameter than the other paddle. I also saw a couple on EBay like mine and the base does appear to be correct. Once again thanks!
