Wagner 9 in W/Thumb Rest

I am a long time, avid user of CI cookware and will pick up pieces that look like they need to be rescued.
This "Wagner" is smooth on the outside bottom but bumpy, rough cast inside.

It has a thumb rest handle and the back has the logo in an oval outline
Wagner
Sidney Ohio USA

Then across the bottom reads
9 in. / 23 cm
A 6 - 97

I cannot find anything on this logo at any of the Wagner history
sites. Any info is much appreciated.
It sits flat and just needs a refinish.

From very late in the history of Wagner CI cookware. Either under GHC ownership or the company that bought and operated the foundry in Sidney for a few short years in the late 1990s. Inconclusive as to whether the 97 means 1997.

it looks very similar to an 8 inch Wagner '1891' skillet that I had. (the one made in the 90's with all of the writing on the bottom)

Thanks Doug and D Madden
I agree, the 97 and rough inside pretty much
puts its as a late model.
I also don't think any old pieces would give dimensions in inches and centimeters!
Well its still a keeper and someday it will be vintage!
(at least we can say "last century")
Thank You, both!

Do y'all see pics in the OP? All I see are a bunch of photobucket messages saying the account needs to be updated to enable 3rd party hosting.

My apologies. I'm going to try and fix that. I haven't used PhotoBucket in a long time.
I guess something has changed since I last used it.
I have also noticed it is VERY SLOW.
