Wagner "T" 1338 Turk head gem pan

In the red book it states that the solid frame version of this pan is "very unusual". In everyone's experience, how unusual is it truly?

One sold on eBay last week for $51. It was evenly pitted on the bottom, like it sat in water, but then was cleaned up. There's another listed right now for for $210, in much better shape. That seller must have read the RB.

Seen one of those yesterday in a local antique shop, didn't know what it was. Think they wanted $60 for it, didn't buy it.

On gem and muffin pans, I prefer the open frame or cut-out versions. I have to think the solid frames were just the result of unacceptable breakage at the foundry or in nationwide shipping.
