Wagner Ware Question

In looking at the Wagner Ware Sidney -0- pans, they all have a number followed by a letter near the handle. I assume this is a makers mark of some kind? Can someone in the know fill me in on the significance of this number? For instance I have seen a 1056H, 1056E, 1056V, 1056Z. Does this number affect the value or collect ability of the pan? Thanks for helping out the new guy.

Producing many pans required many molds, and therefore many working patterns to create those molds. Patterns would suffer damage in use, and it was necessary to be able to identify which one was responsible for defective pans. The letter after the number made each pattern unique. See: http://www.castironcollector.com/numbers.php for a full explanation.
