First off please forgive the noob. I'm sure dots is not the right term, but it is not a gate mark either, and I am the type that "whatchamacallit" is a technical term all day log.
I am freshly back from the thrift shop and purchased a small 6 1/2 inch Wagner pan. Looks perfect for my morning potatoes. I noticed something on the bottom I have not seen before. On the bottom of the pan is what looks like 4, could be 5 dots that are raised. Looks like at some point someone took a grinder to level one or two out.
I'm sure this is normal as they did not "grow" after mfg. What I did not find looking around online was pictures of this. Was this during a time frame?
I am a noob to collecting... Ok mostly I purchase what is older clean it up and use it. Plan on teaching my 13 year old how to cook in them and then pass them down. So I am still reading the forums and taking the knowledge with me as I shop around.
