Wapak handle question

Is it normal for the handle to not be centered with the pour spouts? A #10 I just got is offset to the right of the spouts.

Photos can sometimes make pans look this way. Do you have the pan in hand or just the photos?

Wapak was kind of notorious for off-quality castings and using others' pans as patterns. Hard to say how they accomplished this, though. Is the base of the handle different distances from the pour lips, or more like the handle is just bent?

I just measured, the base to the pour lips is equal. Seems the handle curves to the right

It looks original just seems weird that it’s like this. 🤷‍♂️

Can the nickel plating be removed?

Working patterns were/are made of aluminum, so deformation/bending is possible at that point.
Plating removal isn't usually worth the expense.

Can they be put into a lye bath or oven self clean?

These are considered nickel plated?

Im a Wapak kinda guy, and I think it just gives it character....most Wapaks have defects, which is why I love them. Yours is really weird tho, but cool!
