Wards Cast Iron

I've been wanting a griddle, is $18.00 a good price for this one? Are these very common, I've never seen one, but I've only been looking at cast iron cookware for about 2 months.

Thank you sir. I looked it over pretty good and didn't see any damage. I'll be going back tomorrow to give it another look and bring it home.
 
Comment: I have a 12 in. handle griddle with the same mark, and I've used it for years as a pizza pan. Very heavy, good quality iron; they were made by Wagner for Ward's. I'd agree that $18.00 is a very fair price; always assuming good condition, of course.
 
I have not yet ventured into griddle territory. $18 seems reasonable, there's a lot of CI out there WAY over-priced, IMHO. Let us know how it cooks.
 
I went back and picked it up today. I looked it over and found no cracks and it sets very flat. Now I just need to clean it up and use it.
