Weird little lodge

It's 6 inches across the top--a little smaller than my 3s.

Why does it say 1 on the top, 3 on the bottom, and is the size of a 2?

I don't particularly collect Lodge, but they usually don't have the size numbers printed on the top of the handles. I know the few I have don't. (All 3-notch)

Well those definitely look like mine, except none of them seem to have an identity crisis.

Probably not Lodge. A copy, an import perhaps, possibly having used a Lodge #3 as the basis for a pattern (which would also account for the slightly smaller size).

Ah, could be. I hadn't thought of that, because why copy a lodge, right?
