Really thinking about sanding with angle grinder for this one, usually don't like to. Thoughts? And anyone know when this was made? Thanks!

Is it pitted or more like stained? Evapo-Rust might do some good if the latter. I would leave it as is in any case. You'll only end up devaluing it more, and it won't really cook any better.
