What is this skillet? Is it Asian?

I found this same pan, and a 9 inch of the same design. They also had orange paint on the handle. I showed them on several cast iron sites and no one could tell me anything about them. It is my opinion that they may be Japanese from the 1950's or 60's but I have no real evidence to support that.
The design, casting, and finish are of very high quality and it should make an excellent user and since it's a No.4 someone will no doubt be glad to have it!
