Who made this half of a double skillet?

We picked this piece up the other day. I wish we had taken before and after pictures because it was a mess; one of the crustiest I have seen!
Anyway, I am assuming this is either the top or bottom of a double skillet? It has no markings whatsoever, but it is smooth and flat. The only issue is a small blob of metal on the rim (seen in one photo).
Any help on who the maker may have been and the age would be great!

It's the skillet/lid of a "combo cooker". A couple of different patents exist on them, but it appears they were made by more foundries than that. The blob of metal shouldn't be there.
