i went iron hunting yesterday, i grabbed two #3 skillets, a pittypat's porch and a 3-notch lodge. this was the one i love. it is a camp bean/stew pot. it is roughly 7 1/2 tall including legs and 10 1/2 across at the top. my wife put a lodge 3 10 1/4 in. (#8) lid on, and it fits like a glove! on the bottom it is marked with the number 6 and a K beside that. any idea when it was made or what company made itbean pot 1.jpgbean pot 2.jpgbean pot 3.jpg?

It surely LOOKS like a Wapak, but im not sure. The handles look like it. Hope you get an answer.....Someone on here will chime in.

The markings and their placement is consistent with Lodge. Kettles like it seen elsewhere similarly marked are identified as Lodge.

The shape was produced by Lodge for quite a long time, and only disappeared from catalogs in the early to mid-2000s. The assumption would be, with this style of markings and attachment ears, and the lack of Made In USA, that it would likely be ca. early 1960s. Yes, a 6 would be much smaller, and Lodge didn't make those much past the mid-1930s.
