3 Notch Lodge - Difference

Does these two 3 notch Lodge markings denote different maufacture dates?

The #4 has a flat pad of cast under the handle with a dot. No other markings other than size.

The #5 doesn't have the cast pad dot. Instead it has letter, numbers combo.

Going to find a different image hosting site as this one rotates my images.

Upon finishing reading it take a closer look at your two pans and then see if you can possibly figure out your initial question. Trying to I.D. some of these C.I. pieces can be difficult at best sometimes.
