Bought my biggest piece today. Eriez gas stove.

Finished restoration. Not perfect, but looks pretty nice I think. I had a near catastrophe with it this afternoon. I was carrying it from my garage to my porch, to put the final pieces on it in better light. I turned my ankle, and fell full weight, right on top of the stove. The 2 top endcaps took the majority of the weight, popped off the oval tin top, and allowed the tin to bend and distort just short of the point of bending a crease in the metal. Needless to say, I was pretty upset. Took my time and took apart the top pieces. With a little bid of careful bending with pliers and soft rags, I was able to get it almost exactly back to normal. A couple of small paint touch ups, reattched the cast iron pieces, and looks almost good as new.

Jody, what a handsome restoration! So glad you escaped disaster with this project, and I hope your ankle survived too. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Sharon. I really did narrowly avoid a real mess. Luckily, everything survived with very little noticeable damage - including my ankle, lol.

Thanks Steve. No, I don't plan on using it. It has the 3 gas valves and gas line, but There seems to be a part missing to connect them together. I don't think it would be that difficult to get it working, if you knew what you were doing. I did use high temperature paint in case someone wants to use it in the future.
