OMG! lard is a wonderful thing!! store it in an old mason jar in your frig..keeps forever...get pieces from butcher shop..cook it in the pans..save the grease..its a wonderful thing to smell!!:grin:
I used too but have recently switched to Crisbee cast iron seasoning. Crisbee is a one man operation out of florida and his seasoning is made from Beeswax (food grade quality), palm oil and one other oil i can't remember right now but it is the best seasoning product I've ever used. Google Cribsee and give it a shot!
