Bonnie, So are you up in the mountains? Snow in the desert does not sound right. The lye tank is freezing, because you are not working it.
We are getting 10" of the white stuff right now. Lye tank is toasty here 15 deg. now.
Coffee rub with a kick, Kick = Heat If interested I can get the mix.
The chicken rub is a Hungarian spice blend. Must have some Paprika in it. Speaking of Paprika I grew Paprika Peppers and dried and made smoked Paprika. The Best.
Betsey, You can have a stainless steel lid made for your scotch bowl at a Good sheet metal shop. I had one made for a past customer.
