Skillet Corn Bread

Last night was a red beans and rice Monday dinner, CI skillet cornbread made with lard. Beautifully paired with a west coast IPA, or two.
No pics, we were too hungry.

I was hoping for pictures, I like to do skillet cornbread off and on and it sounds like a good idea for supper tonight. Now to think of what to pair it up with :icon_scratchchin:

Down here cornbread goes with just about anything. Speckled butterbeans with hamhock over rice is just one of many ways we like it.
