I don't like the idea of using gasoline on it, you might want to try some alcohol on it to remove the wax. You could even take it outside pour some alcohol in it and set that on fire that would be a sure way to burn off any wax.
I just peeked in the trash bag. The Easy Off is working on the other skillets. its hard to tell if its working on this one. Think I will let them go a few more days to be sure.
Tony, I'm happy your cleaning finally came out okay--the thought of losing one of those pans is too sad! As well as being "pretty", I bet it will be a good user. I love my Piqua pans, and use them a lot. Good cooking!
